I HAVE A 1954 QUARTER, THAT HAS A NUMBER 4 STAMPED IN THE FACE OF WASHINGTON.ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED.

A Washington Quarter’s not suppose to have any counterstamp on the obverse or reverse, so anything like the mark on your coin is considered as a type of damage even if it was there for a purpose. I’m afraid the coin is no longer collectable unless it has some historical or sentimental value, but it’s still worth the silver content in it which should be about $2.
